WRC is Finland's first rugby-tähtiseura!

A big step for Warriors and Finnish junior rugby: As the first and currently only rugby club in Finland, WRC has been certified by the Finnish Olympic Committee as "Tähtiseura" for junior activities, a "star club".

"Tähtiseura is a quality management programme set up by the Finnish Olympic Committee, sports federations and regional sports organisations. The Star Label represents a promise of quality to current and new club members, as well as their families and supporters. It is an indication of modern, agile, responsible and humane operating methods. It meets the needs of all kinds of athletes and sports enthusiasts, but also develops with them."

To get the certification, we had to give a detailed overview over our club and the work we do, in 12 categories with 3-8 questions each, supported by countless documents. After a final audition with the rugby federation and ESLU, we successfully obtained the "Tähtiseura" status on 23.10.2024. We are currently also developing the "adult sports" Tähtiseura path.
